This installation of tranquil textile art is an ode to vibrant life, feminine vulnerability, and imagination, greedily bathed in the light of MUZE’UM L. Because LIGHT guides people toward balance and heals them, the installation integrates and showcases the hidden light of women.
The installation is a temple of light: a patchwork that exposes the inner landscape of feminine energy. Her signature is drawing with fabric, her colors symbolic: red for passion, pink for love, white for purity, and purple for spirituality.
The meridians of MUZE’UM L resonate with the meridians of the MUSE, the feminine spirit.
This installation is a holistic reflection of the sacred in the female body throughout the ages, regardless of age.
Moniek Gheysens (born 1949) is a versatile and passionate artist. Her themes: respect for the past, curiosity about life, empathy, and a greater sense of feminine energy (including for men) form the poetry and common thread in her work.
Her motto, “all life is connection and all connection is love”, is reflected in the delicate arrangement of her installation: composed of textiles, waste, paper, and clothing, where you can still find a respect for craftsmanship. Because that is also a clear life lesson: respect Mother Nature, throw nothing away, recycle, sustainability…
Her work also carries a warning bell: the world is becoming flattened, we are becoming desouled: tradition, ritual, and the organic are being usurped by robotization.
This creation recounts the ritual of awareness: abundance turns inward and becomes stillness, wealth nestles in simplicity, and stillness nurtures an inner fire. All the threads of life run through it and are interwoven into a cable with only one purpose: “connecting people in love.”
At 76, Moniek Gheysens resolutely chooses the path of esoteric tantra: an approach to life that prioritizes intuition, intimacy, and spirituality, thus fulfilling her core philosophy: “Only feminine energy can save the world.”
